Summary/Abstract: This article aims to highlight the interdisciplinary character of learning content. In everyday life we do not use disparate knowledge accumulated from different subjects but instead we integrate them so that we have an unitary reflection of reality. We assumed that the interdisciplinary chemistry‑physics‑biology‑mathematical will approach of the contents of the “Redox Processes” chapter (studied in chemistry in 9th grade) will lead to an increase in learning efficiency in the sense of a deep understanding of the oxidation‑reduction processes and also to a better correlation of theoretically acquired knowledge with applications in practice. The interdisciplinary approach goes on the idea of communicating the common concepts, introducing them from the most general form (a task to be achieved by the discipline in which the concept appears chronologically for the first time), to the particularities specific to the other subjects of education. The research` s topic tries to achieve a unity in knowledge, which means to help the student to have an overview of „redox processes”, because explaining these phenomena calls on information and methods provided by chemistry, physics, mathematics or biology. This study found that interdisciplinary teaching can be applied at all levels of schooling so that students can achieve a coherent representation of reality and as they go through different stages of schooling they supplement and improve this image.
