Summary/Abstract: The UN 2030 Agenda encompasses a development program up to 2030 with a focus on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which will be guiding the policy and funding over the coming years, beginning with the historic obligation to eradicate poverty. Over the past few years, IFLA has actively participated in the creation of UN 2030 Agenda, and has advocated the inclusion of libraries as partners in this process through access to information, preservation of cultural heritage, universal literacy and access to information and communication technologies. Efficient libraries or institutions of culture represent the heart of the community and those on the micro and macro plan can contribute to the achievement of these goals.
