Summary/Abstract: The authors present the scientific aspects of the life and work of a great botanist (phytomorphologist and anatomist) of the last century – Fritz Netolitzky, who illustrated for three decades Faculty of the University of Chernivtsi (1910–1940). Scientific work (116 original articles and 16 educational and scientific treated) is impressive for its time, the works being published in prestigious journals and publishing houses in Europe.
