Summary/Abstract: Using data from 41,616 students in all 30 institutions within the community college system of the State University of New York this study employs structural equation modelling to compare online and classroom course and program level outcomes. Specifically, we compared GPA and degree attainment for classroom-only students and students with online coursework. Results indicate that online coursework reflected slightly lower GPAs but students with some online coursework were significantly more likely to attain a credential than classroom-only students.
