Summary/Abstract: More and more attention has been drawn lately over diminishing student’s motivation of learning Mathematics, this subject being considered difficult and without great interest The stress generated by not clearly understanding new notions, parent’s expectations, stress caused by exams being close can lead to an antipathy towards this subject, therefore students tend to chose domains that do not require studying mathematics. Each teacher should address the issue of professional skills development, taking into account some aspects which could make this subject difficult for students – the syllabus, the vocabulary used by the teacher, explanations, comportamental issues in the class etc. Mathematics seems difficult to perceive and understand to most of the students and the motivation differs from one student to another. Identifying a solution which will help them studying mathematics more easily would be ideal. It has been established that an important role in increasing their motivation is held by the teacher’s personality, effective communication teacher–student, an interdisciplinary approach and using new technologies. Education does not have as its unique goal training or an exchange of knowledge but, due to changes in social context teachers have been faced to new situations which require intellectual, socio-affective and psychosomatic knowledge. Learning should allow students to form themselves as cultural, spiritual and social being.
