Summary/Abstract: Contemporary Romanian school system doesn’t overlook new technologies in the process of efficiently delivering the message to pupils, its direct beneficiaries. Through an appropriate adult supervision, the Internet can shed its benefic effect on education, by boosting the appeal of teaching content, as well as in personal and professional development of the pupil, through its virtually unlimited possibilities of expanding the knowledge spectrum, thanks to self-knowledge and relationship-building. Fast and cost-effective access to updated information is what defines modern humans as well as modern pupils, ever more eager to get involved in the world that surrounds him. New technology doesn’t have to exclude the established human tradition of acquiring knowledge through books and libraries, but to give it credit, contributing to its modernization, in order to achieve enhanced performance.
