Summary/Abstract: Established in 1983 by the French Ministry of Culture, the Ethnology of France collection is published by the House of Sciences Publishing House (les Éditions de la Maison des Sciences de l’Homme) in partnership with the Pilot Research and Scientific Policy Department. The Reference Collection brings together French ethnology studies, as well as works on culture, heritage and related to politics. It addresses France as an ethnographic area, its cultural diversity and historical dynamics, renewing the classical themes of the discipline. The idea of this publication is to show areas of research that can be considered at the periphery of the attention of scientists. We sought to explore subjects which are less common, but at the same time allow us to follow the evolution of French ethnology in its current state. The extent of our scientific interest includes monographic studies touching the following scientific problems: modern forms of economic activity; ethno-sociological research, new uses of cultural heritage; problems of the institution of the family and family ties.
