Summary/Abstract: Stojan Cerović, late journalist for the Vreme weekly, wrote, long ago, that our past was more uncertain than our future. And he was as right as one could be. Over 30 years only, since the fall of the Berlin Wall till the beginning of Yugoslavia’s disintegration, our past has been “changed” several times. In other words, dramatic political developments we have gone through influenced changes in values, paradigms, historical role models, heroes to glorify or anti-heroes to despise.
