Summary/Abstract: The football team is a representation of the “masculine gender”. A characteristic element of contemporary football teams is their heterogeneity – in this case the “masculinity” is the common element. But this base is becoming unstable – if we take into consideration such issues as: the presence of woman's look on football, the meaning the image of football players joying after scoring a goal (if we displace it from the football context), or the presently occurring redefining of masculinity – along with the phenomenon of metrosexuality and the sexualisation and fetishisation of football players’ bodies.
