Contemporary Studies of Film Production and Distribution – Introduction

Summary/Abstract: The authors introduce the problematics of the volume: the specifics, scope and state of the contemporary studies of film production, distribution and audience. Adamczak and Klejsa take into account not only global, but also Polish trends, indicating possible and unexplored areas open for researching. They postulate Polish scholars to delve into archives and data that would help to build an important body of knowledge and also the broad context for the existing research. At the end of the article the authors sketch the probable and potential paths of development of production and distribution studies facing the dynamics of the nowadays changes of the film and media market
