History of Jurisprudence - A new Discipline?

Summary/Abstract: The author defines "Diclipline" as an area of knowledge with both a particular item and methode. Thus, according to Kant, a discipline always represents a stage between "Doctrine" and "Science": Discipline is a Doctrine in as far as the latter is methodically recognised. An Discipline becomes a Science in as far as it is going to be demonstrated (scientia obiective spectata). Against this background the author investigates the question whether a Histroy of Jurisprudence can be conceived as a particular Discipline having its particular item and, according to it, its individual method.
