EU and the Kossovo Situation

Summary/Abstract: Guided by the lines of European Neighborhood Policy and European Security Strategy, UE seems to have anchored its new security activity in the area of the new “neighborhood”. In this context, West-Balkan yone seems to be the major problem, as an enclave of instability. The article tries to be an analysis of Kosovo’s situation. The conclusion is that we have to distinguish a peace keeping activity from a peace building one, so that UE will have a different mission than NATO.
