Socio-pedagogical activities of the Police for internal security from the perspective of the functioning of the National Safety Risk Map

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the functioning of the National Safety Risk Map – an important element of the process of public safety management by the Polish Police, indicates the functioning of this tool and discusses the results of own research on the evaluation of the Safety Risk Map by the residents of Katowice. The results were compared with national studies. The Map is one of the channels of communication between the Police and the society, called by the author “the phenomenon of communication” because of the number of people using the Map and its functionality.
