Summary/Abstract: In this study we took into consideration the subject of the impact of human powerlessnessduring the historical times of disasters, cataclysms, human tragedies on the faith in divine providence,reflected in the Romanian parabolic novels Three hours in hell (1970) by Antonie Plămădealăand Apocalipsis (2019) by Adrian G. Romila.The aesthetics takes of the parable novels selected in the study are the edification of being andengaging in subtle debates regarding the values of an entire spiritual space, the accumulation of newsenses radiating to reflect on the serious phenomena, on the critical times in our history and on theabsurd condition of a tragic time, affecting the status of the human being, its natural dimensions, withregenerative effect: the free, doubtful thinking, without imposing ideological grids, which are aware ofthe difficulties of survival.
