Summary/Abstract: Octavian Goga’s poetry represents the very expression of Romanian traditionalism, anextension of Eminescu’s epigonic classicism and romanticism, deciphered in the essence of orthodoxy, which shapes the Transylvanian identity in the context of rebellion through the written word. Escapinginto the trans-historic or theological realms enables the poet to experience the hope of redemption, hisreligious side becomes infused with the Christian customs of the traditional Romanian village, havinga secular, social, historical role.
