Summary/Abstract: Doctoral studies involve demonstrating a high level of authority, innovation, autonomy, scientific and professional integrity. These are finalized by publicly supporting a doctoral thesis, an original scientific work, developed by the doctoral student and a legal condition for obtaining the title of doctor. Doctoral studies includes a training program based on advanced university studies, as well as an individual program of scientific research or artistic creation, in both programs, the doctoral student having to comply with the standards of professional quality and ethics. The drafting of the doctoral thesis is the guarantee of the qualification of the doctoral student of all the qualities necessary to represent a gain of the scientific progress. The non-observance of deontological and ethical norms by the doctoral student attracts various forms of responsibility, from moral responsibility to the most energetic form of liability, namely criminal liability.
