Summary/Abstract: In 1923 an honorary dispute took place between Lt. Col. Bolesław Wieniawa-Długoszowski and Dr. Piskozub-Brzeg at the Artistic Club in Warsaw. The article, which has resulted entirely from an analysis of materials never published before, presents the origins of the affair as well as the attempts to resolve it based on both positive and customary law.
