Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the terms the common good in the field of canon law and common heritage of mankind in the field of international law, both embedded in the discourse of the specialist text of pastoral constitution Gaudium et Spes (1956) and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982). The analysis consists on the extraction of definitions and collocations from the texts in question provided in three languages (Polish, French and Spanish). The aim of the analysis is to examine the syntax of Polish, French and Spanish and to show the reality and the relations embodied in them.
