Summary/Abstract: High linguistic culture, a certain behavior, a connection with the audience – these are all the expectations, especially for presidents all over the world. Bulgaria is no exception. The publicity these personalities have and the social role they fulfill imposes these requirements on them. Through word, behavior and attitude, they build their image – linguistic and non-linguistic in society. That is why it is important to observe, analyze and compare the speech of the пresidents on the occasion of national holidays of the Republic of Bulgaria. The features related to key aspects of public speaking, how successful they are and whether they meet the requirement of a high linguistic culture, what are the particularities at the phonetic level and what their role is, are considered.
