Summary/Abstract: Traditionally, the linguistic analyticity is defined like a low morpheme-per-word ratio in the language, and it’s often developed in quantitative morphological typology. The modern approach defines the analyticity as the text frequency of free grammatical markers (functional words). In our research we are exclusively interested in the second definition of the phenomenon, in the widest meaning of the word. This paper undertakes to elaborate a precise ratios of analyticity, based on seven grammatical parameters in general language and in its functional variations. Detailed corpus analysis allows us to state that there exists any relation between analytical coefficient of the functional variations of the language (like narrative or scientific texts) and any discourse strategies.
