Summary/Abstract: Natural Sciences as a study discipline, aims at observing and perceiving the world as a whole, with components, processes and characteristic phenomena, like learning through understanding and applying. The fascinating world of nature will be discovered by a child only if he or she will have prepared learning scenarios through learning and experimentation. Therefore, the teaching approach should be shifted from „what is taught” to „why it is taught”. The experiment offers a great advantage because it allows the proponent to actively intervene in knowledge. By using the experiment, man artificially reproduces the natural processes or phenomena that he wants to investigate, no longer forced to wait for these to occur naturally. In the experiment, the process is not reproduced entirely identical in all its complexity and detail, but is actually a simplified analog of the natural.Learning by experiment does not consist of only direct information, but also of a way of developing a spirit of observation, investigation, of causal thinking; it develops in students objectivity, rigor, perseverance, order, discipline, creativity. During the school year 2015/2016 I have organized and held to the IV-th grade, the interdisciplinary optional: „Discover science through experiments”, because I felt that it will complete the natural science classes and I will have enough time to prepare all the experiments so very needed for this discipline.
