Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the possibilities of adapting the concept of resilience to the analytical instruments of economic sciences, with the intention of using it in the modern business practice. In the time of extraordinary global threats, the survival and maintaining competitiveness can be fostered by the use of the so-called Jeffrey Sachs’ clinical economics. The theoretical considerations presented in the article indicate potential applications of the psychological concept of resilience in economic sciences, as they focus, among others, on the complexity and diversity of economic systems and subsystems.
