Summary/Abstract: Every economic development expects high economic growth and inter-provincial equality on Borneo Island in 2014-2018 to experience fluctuating and increasing economic growth. Economic growth seems to be uneven and the difference in GRDP per capita is quite striking in the region. This shows the imbalance between Borneo Province. The purpose of this study was to analyze the imbalances that occurred between the Provinces of Borneo during the observation period. The data used in this study are based on secondary data and the analysis model used is the Klassen Typology and the Williamson Index. The results showed that of the 5 objects, having an inequality index that was greater than the average reference area (Borneo Island) there were 2 Provinces (West and East Borneo). Economic development, initiated by the government, was not sustained without limited liability corporations and capitalist markets due to the inefficiencies associated with government planning and resulting bureaucracies without any other mechanisms to correct them.
