An Excerpt from the Treatise Against Bogomilism in a Russian Collection from the Beginning of the 17th Century

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with an instruction from the Southern-Russian MS 106/17 from the early 17th century kept in the University Library in Debrecen, Hungary. It is an excerpt from discourse 14 from "Treatise against the Bogomils and Instruction from the Divine Books" by Prezviter Cosma. The excerpt is known as a separate work with the title Слово /Поѹчение ѡ епископѣхъ и ѡ попѣхъ from two more transcripts from the 16th and the 17th centuries. The Russian transcript of the discourse discussed in the article is from the viewpoint of textual criticism and linguistics very near to the transcripts known so far and is especially close to manuscript № 450 from the National Library of Belgrade. (The manuscript has been destroyed by fire.) The article gives also a brief description of the manuscript from Debrecen and publishes the excerpt from the Treatise.
