Summary/Abstract: Artistic project "inter.face//character 0..5" has two basic elements: white/virtual space and virtual acter. Virtual space is “emptied”, it has no elements of scenography, its spaciality has been defined by 3D virtual creatures in virtual space by their movements and acting while investigating its own virtual identity. The identity of virtual creatures in virtual space, as basic idea, has directed the materialization of this work toward interdisciplinary approach. In order to superpose real and virtual space, the work has been finished as an installation of 3D character animation monitors in the real space. This approach made two artistic disciplines overlap: 3D (computer) animation and ambiental art. The virtual nature of the actresses has been stressed by their animation and materialization,. Digital models in fact present skin, virtual membrane, body without organs, which by mimics, gestures and sound (knocking from the other side of the screen) communicate mutually and/or with an observer.
