Specific Features of Entrepreneurial Activity in Transylvania

Summary/Abstract: Using recent statistical data, the paper draws a detailed picture of the Transylvanian business sector, with particular emphasis on the spatial disparity of entrepreneurial activity and entrepreneurial intentions. Maps on the density of entrepreneurship are presented to explore the organizing principles behind several clusters of increased business activity. Finally it examines the socio-demographic background of entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs through the results of a comprehensive survey research.
