Summary/Abstract: The statement according to which contemporary polish educational studies are paradigm-based raises many important philosophical problems. One of them is the problem of intertheoretical incommensurability. The aim of the paper is to characterize the issue of incommensurability and answering the question of consequences it causes in the perspective of scientific status and practical aspects of educational studies.
