Summary/Abstract: Based on the reports saved in the Archive of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, we have briefly presented the suffering of the priests of the Raška-Prizren Diocese during the First World War. The sufferings are described by their occurrence in episcopal deaneries. Some priests were murdered, some abused and tortured, many were confined in internment camps in Hungary and Bulgaria. A small number of priests who survived the horrors of war suffered lifelong consequences. The surviving priests and the eyewitnesses have left us a precious testimony about the suffering of the priesthood. Their torturers were Austrians, Bulgarians, and the Arnauti.
