THE ROLE OF THE MOVIE AND IMAGES IN TEACHING THE HISTORICAL CONCEPTS IN EDUCATION

Summary/Abstract: The article supports the role of movie and images in the formation of the notions of history in education as a form of multimedia education, having as a starting point the existence of many historical movies in Romanian cinema, the classroom experience, and the use of sequences from these movies in the school classes and extracurricular activities. At the same time, starting from the current situation of education, where the students are concerned with multimedia and social networks, we offered some suggestions on the possibility of using new media technologies (camera, mobile phone, digital camera) as well as those from computer science (computer programs and editing programs) so students can create their own movies and documentaries.
