Summary/Abstract: The optional course proposed is designed to run over a school year (one hour per week) and is open to students of the class Advil. The course is entitled Tradition and folklore because is intended to illustrate the traditions and customs from Europe, the functional nature of the various aspects of culture and civilization, aiming similarity between two civilizations: Romanian and French. Applying the principle of authenticity, the course offers generous openings to the values of the local culture and civilization, emphasizes the existence of distinct spiritual areas and encourages further Franco‑Romanian relationship. This course is designed in such a way as to answer students’ curiosity about the traditions present in the two cultures. The optional course proposes a synthetic method and comparative approach to elements of culture and civilization Romanian / French, while trying to highlight, in a formative way, the accumulated knowledge.
