Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the meaning of life meaningfulness. In the theoretical background it discusses the important theory of life meaningfulness called the Three-Component Model of the Meaning of Life. Subsequently, it deals with selected research findings in the field of life meaningfulness. The cited research studies investigated the influence of personality characteristics on life meaningfulness, they also looked at the relationship between desires and life meaningfulness among university students, the relationship between life meaningfulness and life satisfaction, the relationship between life meaningfulness and burnout, or the existential and spiritual predictor of psychopathology.
