Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to present how to measure the efficiency of activities of scientific libraries in public higher education in Poland using the DEA method. It shows the results of research carried out in 2018 on the group of 44 libraries. Two models, which are elements of the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) methodology, were used. A non-radial SBM model was the first one, and non-radial Super-SBM, which helped to create a ranking of the efficiency, was the second.Obtained results indicate that most of the examined libraries show relatively low efficiency. Moreover, some differences were observed depending on the type of services they offered. While for stationary library services, the efficiency was estimated at the level of 37%, for the electronic services, it was only 19%. Regarding the type of the institutions where the libraries operated - the best score in the first category (stationary services) was achieved by the physical education academies, and in the second (electronic services) by the university libraries
