Summary/Abstract: On 1 July 2005, after lengthy discussions and a demanding comment procedure, a completely new Act on Work Inspection No. 251/2005 Coll. The new legal regulation of labor inspection represents an important legislative step in the area of state control over the observance of obligations arising from labor law regulations by both employers and employees. Before we focus on the new legal regulation of state control activities in the area of compliance with labor law regulations, let us look at least briefly at the legal situation in the area of this control before the new law enters into force.
