Summary/Abstract: The paper looks at Germany as, historically, a migration and immigration state after 1945. The subsequent stages and/or phases of migration have been discussed, taking into account its causes, and the relevant statistical data has been provided to show the volume of flows of migrants and/or refugees. The author has also made an attempt to provide an answer to the question about the prospects of German and European migration policy.
