Summary/Abstract: The entire past century, and especially its last decades, have been characterized by rapid progress and development in all areas and spheres of human life. Even the previously insurmountable and irremovable barriers began to fall. Some countries of the former Eastern block have become members of the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union, and many are preparing for or seeking membership. From one point of view, the life of the individual and the whole society has become much easier and more comfortable. From the latter, it is clear that the disappearance of restrictions in transport, travel, the international movement of people and capital, new communication possibilities and the rapid to rapid development of information technology have created ideal conditions for the growth and development of organized crime.
