Tracing a Name – Rozalia Saulson (1807-1896) – New Findings

Summary/Abstract: The author’s goal was to present new findings related to the biography of the Polish-Jewish writer Rozalia Saulson. This is the first time that archive sources were used which not only confirmed her place and date of birth and death but also revealed other facts concerning her life. The new sources and analyses also made it possible to get a new insight into her ties with the progressive Jewish milieux not only in Warsaw but also in Kraków.
