Summary/Abstract: The article closely examines the Karaite community in Kukizów near Lwów from its establishment until its final days. It deals with manuscripts found in the Firkowicz collections on the history of the Karaites. Some of the manuscripts were previously analysed by researchers, others remained unknown and unpublished. The research questions deal with the 1688 migration of the Karaite families from Troki to Kukizów under the leadership of wójt Abraham ben Samuel, the economic challenges to meet for the basic needs in their new settlement and causes of the decline of the Karaite community at the beginning of the XIXth century. In addition, this article endeavours to cover the burial ground in Kukizów and give the names of the people buried in the Karaite cemetery.
