The relation of the European Court of Justice to the nati­onal Constitutional Courts: example of the German Constitutional Court

Summary/Abstract: I would like to present my views on the chosen topic from different angles. In the first part I will deal with issues of acceptance of Community law and the conclusions of the European Court of Justice in the national environment, in the second, much larger part, I will introduce the development of the Federal Constitutional Court's relationship with the ECJ and in the third part I will discuss the current situation and the need for a court ruling in the event of a conflict of jurisdiction in the European Union.
