Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an overview of heuristic inspirations which brings the implementation of synergetic approach to self-organizing social systems. The point of departure is represented not only by three main dimensions of presently polarized methodology in sociology (with special regard to the controversy between methodological individualism and methodological holism) but also by an introductory review of the basic principles of the synergetic approach. In this frame, the issues of social system autodynamics as well as the issues of social system potentials are discussed. The analysis is focused on key methodological points, such as the identification of a social system and the main constitutive attributes of its autodynamics (such as self-regulation, self-organization, self-differentiation and self-determination), the identification of social potentials, the social control potential, the social potential and eigen values of a social system and so on. Attention is paid also to the heuristic impact of complementarity principle implementation in sociological methodology.
