Summary/Abstract: The European Union citizen is the person who has the citizenship of an E.U.or E.E.C. member state or the citizenship of the Swiss Confederation. Per a contrario, we refer to foreign citizens. The framing of both categories of citizens is subjected to the Romanian legislation, but it also displays some particular aspects. We would like to shortly point out the most useful and essential aspects (inclusively from the perspective of avoidance of sanctions in the case of failure to comply with some legal obligations), making noticeable also the aspect related to the financing of jobs, not at all to be disregarded in the context of the economic crisis.
