Summary/Abstract: The text deals with the phenomenon of the prominent prevailance of the female authority in Croatian ethnology since the mid-20th century up to the present day. Nevertheless, the lack of the typical features of "female writing" indicates that we should search for the "gender" of these ethnographies somewhere deeper in the social moment of the local scientific circumstences.
