Summary/Abstract: The topic of this paper is the Medieval royal residence called Milodraž. This place was the summer royal residence during the 15th century, and the place where kings often hosted their friends, guests, messengers and delegations from other countries. For the fi rst time, Milodraž is mentioned in the Charter of the king Tvrtko II. Tvrtković in 1421. This was the document for the citizens of Ragusa. In this document, Tvrtko II. confi rmed privileges to the citizens of Ragusa granted by their predecessors. After that, Milodraž is related to two royal weddings; the wedding between Tvrtko II. Tvrtković and Doroteja Gorjanska, the Hungarian noblewoman in 1428; and the wedding between Stjepan Tomaš, the new king of Bosnia and Katarina Kosača, the noblewoman from Hum, in 1446. After the fall of the Bosnian Kingdom in 1463., Mehmed II. (El – Fatih), the sultan of the Ottoman Empire, granted the famous Ahdnama to Anđeo Zvizdović, the Franciscan in Milodraž as well. It was the document that guaranteed the freedom of religion for Catholics. During the period of the Ottoman rule in Bosnia, traces of medieval noble traditions of Milodraž were still very visible.
