Summary/Abstract: This paper is trying to map a global spread of English. An approach to this issue is a geopolitical one. At the beginning there is a criticism of a well known concept of Braj Kachru, not as a linguistic one, but as a geopolitical one. The paper is trying to analyze that from geopolitical perspective it is better to describe a contemporary global spread of English as an interaction of four overlapping circles. A main part of the article is concentrating in this concept on third circle, which consists of countries, where English is not an official language, but English is playing a role of an auxiliary language. The paper is analyzing special roles of English in countries qualificating for this special circle, which is distinctly different from circles where English is playing a role of a national language, a role of an official language and role of a foreign language. This concept is also trying to answer the question of dynamism of a global spread of English and its limits.
