Summary/Abstract: The topic of this work is based on a scientific problem: looking for the answer to an question whether there is a link between schoolchildren’s physical activity and their value orientation system formation. Aim of the survey: to analyze impact of the physical activity on senior students’ value orientation formation. Goals of the survey: to present the analysis of theoretical and methodological and publicistic literature; to identify students’ of different physical activity (doing sports and not doing sports) value orientations and their self-respect; to compare students’ of different physical activity (doing sports and not doing sports) value orientation formation by gender aspect. Participants of the survey: 226 students from the gymnasium and sport school aged 16–17 (142 girls and 84 boys) were questioned: 92 girls not doing sport and 50 girls doing sport, and 32 boys not doing sport and 52 boys doing sport. Survey results showed that there is no firm opinion about the impact of physical activity on a student’s, who does sport, values, self-respect, though a humanistic sport potential, possibilities to motivate physical and moral development of a personality with the help of pedagogical means are not rejected. According to our survey, value orientations change and this depends on physical activity impact. The aspect of gender has a big influence on value orientation formation. Differences were identified while evaluating terminalic and instrumental values from gender aspect. A survey on self-respect showed that students who do sport, have higher self-respect, self-confidence, self-actualization. comparing to those who do not do sport.
