Summary/Abstract: This article aims to illustrate the importance of European structural funds which encourage the solidarity for each Member State. Funds are available for any person, citizen of Romania, freelancers, individual enterprises, associations or cooperatives. During the second part of the paper, there are presented some projects in our town. These projects were funded with European structural funds.
