Summary/Abstract: The paper is structured in two parts: transactional analysis and the ego states and the interaction between several concepts similar to transactional analysis: psychotherapy, counselling, coaching, training, consulting, mentoring. In the former part we describe and characterize the states of the ego specific to the "Transactional Analysis", the explicative theory of the personality. The state of the self in the centre of attention as a desirable and balanced state of personality is the state of adulthood. The former part also explains the transactions and the life positions, as well as the ways in which they ensure the balance of the adult. The latter highlights the similarities and differences between the concepts of psychotherapy, counselling, coaching, training, consulting, mentoring through comparative analysis. From the theory and practice of Transactional Analysis (AT) we identify the aims, principles, communication relations and the provision of AT-specific positive stimuli that are bridges to the enunciated concepts and ways of acquiring the autonomy of the adult. The methods used in this paper are scientific documentation, comparative analysis and modelling of the adult state according to the presented concepts.
