Summary/Abstract: The problem of attitudes towards drug usage reasons is discussed in the present paper on from Klaipėda vocational school students. Whether a teenager uses drugs or not depends on family relations. Many cientists have studied the role of the family. The majority of students indicate that the main reasons which motivate teenagers to try illegal drugs are: curiosity and a wish to try everything in their life, inaptitude to resist their friends’ influence and loss of control after using alcohol. Most often drugs for students are offered in night clubs (29,6%), at a friend’s house (18,4%), in the street (8,3%), in the yard (8,2%), at school (4,9%), in the dormitory (2,0%). Vocational school students lack professionally presented knowledge about drug effect and harm. In the future it more closes investigation why vocational school students earlier and more frequently misuse drugs are needed. Research data should be use planning prevention programs.
