Summary/Abstract: In one way or another the aesthetic evaluation of art objects is related to the concept of beauty which as time goes by is interpreted in different terms. In recent times, however, the category of beauty has been marginalized. Nevertheless architecture is related to certain specifics such as usefulness and utility that are not very peculiar to other arts. Hence, it is experienced and discussed as a complex phenomenon. The process of evaluation that involves the issue of beauty also relates to emotions, identity, contextuality as well as to criteria of ethical and intellectual reflection. This article discusses certain aspects of architectural judgment taking into account architectural objects and their environment.
