Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the problem of implementing individual approach to postgraduate education. The purpose of the article is to examine and evaluate theoretical and methodological frameworks of individualization for international postgraduate students’ research activities through online tutorial support provided by library staff. Materials and Methods. The study adopted student-centered and technological approaches. Theoretical methods included reviewing and analysis of research literature and modeling. The authors used such empirical methods as action research and statistical data processing. The sample consisted of 50 international (Chinese) postgraduate students. Results. The study reports that the content of extracurricular individualization for research activities based on information library resources is determined by postgraduates’ foreign language proficiency and their information and research needs. The authors present a technology of extracurricular individualization for international postgraduate students’ research activities based on tutorial support. The study involved the assessment of international postgraduates’ information literacy and research competencies. Conclusions. The implementation of extracurricular individualization for international postgraduates’ research activities through tutorial support provided by library staff contributes to enhancing their information literacy, research competencies and self-directed learning skills.
