Summary/Abstract: The author discusses contemporary phenomena related to the perception of trees within the context of art, of posthumanist theory and accounts like Peter Wohlleben’s best-selling book The Hidden Life of Trees. In this approach, the idea of interconnectedness of trees in a forest becomes essential. The article insists on the other hand on the importance of renouncing to approaches that facilitate anthropomorphism in relation with trees and nature in general. The examples discussed manage to address the issue in a creative, revelatory manner.
